Thrifty Witch

I love dressing up for Halloween, but the idea of spending a lot for an outfit that will be stowed in the back of the closet all year doesn’t appeal. Here’s a few pieced from my wardrobe mixed with a thrifted skirt.

I looked high and low for a long black skirt that would look great for other looks year round. I found this long skirt by Jones New York at an out of the way thrift store near me. I almost don’t want to tell people about the place, because it’s so well merchandised and curated I know it will be picked clean once people really discover it.

Foliage was at peak this weekend making the perfect backdrop to this inky black costume.

My vintage DKNY coat always adds drama to every outfit. Here it’s a fun stand-in for a cape.

This 7 For All Mankind pleather bustier is surprisingly flattering considering the ruffles around the waistline and form fitting bodice. The poofy sleeves seem to balance everything out.
