This vintage Eugenia Kim hat is all about the WOW!

This is one of the very first hats that Eugenia Kim created.

Omg can you believe this vintage Eugenia Kim hat that I found today? It’s her Hackle Feather Cloche in Coral and it’s handmade.

According to press clippings this was from her first collection for @barneysny in the early 2000’s. It still has its original tag on which the description is hand written!

Of course I know that Eugenia Kim just celebrated her 25th anniversary and she made limited edition resubmissions of her original bestsellers so this could have been part of that, however the only image of this hat that I’ve been able to find anywhere is from a Polaroid of Eugenia wearing it herself!

It’s so fun and I just love the colors! The inspiration for the hat was a bad haircut she’d gotten that she wanted to cover … so I guess you could call this the “no bad hair days” hat.
